Product Information

Savor the authenticity of Amodiño wine

The Amodiño Wine is not an Albariño like any other, it is a special creation made by Eladio Piñeiro in his winery in the Rías Baixas, where the most important thing is the care for the terroir and the product. It is a long-aging wine with a unique characteristic: it has been made on the lees of three different vintages, which is why it is known as Amodiño Tres Añadas (Three Vintages).

These grapes have been grown in vineyards from different areas of the Arousa Estuary, all of them with an average age of 35 years and in which the bases of biodynamic viticulture are followed.

Tradition and craftsmanship are present in each of the processes of creating Amodiño wine, from the cultivation of its grapes, the collection and the elaboration in the winery, where the best bunches of grapes are carefully selected to pass to their maceration with the skins. The aging on the lees is carried out in stainless steel tanks with monthly batonage, and for at least 20 months (9 with the present vintage, 3 with the subsequent vintage, another 3 with the following vintage and 5 more maturation).

Properties of Eladio Piñeiro’s Amodiño

The most characteristic element of Amodiño white wine is its labeling. It is a thermosensitive label that indicates by its color if the broth is at the ideal temperature to taste it (about 9-10ºC).

As for its tasting notes, it is a fruity wine that presents itself to us with an intense golden color. On the nose we feel it as a wine that smells like sea, with hints of nuts such as hazelnut, and white fruits. On the palate it is a wine with a great presence, very long and unctuous.
