Vineyard

Vineyards located in the county of Tea, on the Right Bank of the river Miño. Sandy soils with granite background. Heights between 100 and 250m above sea level. Slopes with a 10% slope. Combination of planted vineyards with Vine/pergola driving system with more modern trellis.

Harvest

Manual harvest in small boxes. Grape selection.

Winemaking

Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 18ºC. Ten weeks of breeding on lees in stock. Racking to separate the lees, it is stabilized by cold, filtered and bottled.

12.5% Vol.

Tasting Note

Visual: elegant lemon yellow color, clean and bright.
Nose: very intense and with persistent aromas and quality, recalling the green apple and tropical fruits like pineapple.
Palate: long, glyceric, persistent and with a perfect acidity according to your body, which makes it very pleasant and full of sensations.

Origin

In our quest to explore, in 2014 we began a journey in search of the areas with the greatest potential for white wines in Spain. Raul Acha, technical director, and Richi Arabarri, our CEO, put their eyes on the north, in those D. O. S that stand out for their freshness, because they are strongly inuenced by the Atlantic climate.

For the Atlantis collection select four small regions with little international projection but many history and ample ability to compete with the best white areas in the world: Rias Baixas, Ribeiro, Valdeorras and Txakoli of Alava. There we produce the four wines of Atlantis with native varieties: Albariño, Treixadura, Godello and Hondarrabi Zuri.

In the county of Tea, where Atlantis Albariño is born, Raul and Richi found the vineyards where to get an Albariño that represents the authenticity of the variety but with a balanced style and very suitable to conquer the palates of consumers around the world.
