Bodegas Franco Españolas, located in La Rioja, makes this reserva red wine from the mixture of three red grape varieties: Tempranillo (80%), Garnacha Tinta (15%) and Mazuelo (5%). These are grown in the 3 sub-zones of the DOCa Rioja, which are Rioja Alta, Rioja Oriental and Rioja Alavesa. This coupage makes it possible to obtain a wine with unique properties and nuances that manage to catch both expert and novice palates.

For its elaboration, a careful selection of the best grapes is carried out, after which it is passed to the destemming and squeezing of the fruits. Once the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are completed, the wine is aged in American white oak and French oak barrels for 18 months. Once this time has elapsed, the Reserva Bordón red wine completes its rest in the bottle.

The Bardon Reserva Rioja wine and its nuances

The red varieties give a reddish color to ripe cherry with certain ruby tones. On the nose it is presented as a complex wine with a multitude of aromas, among which the red fruit in seasoning, cocoa, aromatic herbs or tofe stand out. Already in the mouth, we feel it balanced, tasty and with good structure. It leaves us a very fine and elegant aromatic aftertaste.

The best dishes to taste with Bardón Reserva are the typical winter dishes, spoon dishes or legumes that intensify the flavors of this red wine. It can also be accompanied with roasts and meats with sauce.
