Excellent grapes for an excellent wine

This Viura monovarietal white wine is an expression of the best of the Rioja land. Produced by the emblematic Franco-Españolas Wineries, the Bordón Viña Sole is only born from the best vintages, those that the Rioja Regulatory Council itself qualifies as Very Good or Excellent.

These Viura grapes are grown in octogenarian vines at an altitude of 640 meters located in the town of Sojuela, with a north orientation and on alluvial soil, which makes it ideal that grape varieties are grown on these lands with which long-aging wines are made.

Bordón Viña Sole is a reserve white wine that has a delicate production process. The fermentation is done with the must in contact with the pulp and grape skins, which provides unique characteristics to the final wine. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels, which is carried out for 18 months on its lees.

To the eye, the Viña Sole Bordón is presented as a straw yellow wine that stands out for its golden reflections. Its aromas are reminiscent of spices with certain balsamic notes, which perfectly matches its creaminess in the mouth, where a high persistence is achieved thanks to the toasted touches and dried fruits, provided by the wood.

Like most dry white wines, this wine paires perfectly with any fish dish, but it is also a good pairing for white meats and appetizers of all kinds.
