Vineyard

Vineyards of organic farming, low production. Northern border area for the cultivation of red varieties, sheltered from the mountains of Urbasa and Andia. Fresh clay-calcareous soils. Vineyards not treated with synthetic chemicals.

Manual harvest in September.

Winemaking

Very soft pressing and fermentation at low temperature (16ºC) to preserve all the aromas and freshness of the grape.

Tasting Notes

Visual: intense straw yellow accompanied by slight golden hues. Clean and bright, shows flashes of vivacity in the glass.

Nose: high intensity, without the usual interference that exists in wines with sulfur. Tropical fruits and ripe nugget fruits predominate. It also has fresh aromas of citrus character, with a mineral background. Notes of white flowers and a sweet final character with honey and Musk tones are perceived. Very complex nose, which evolves very well in the cup.

Palate: exuberant acidity, which accompanies the taste sensations from beginning to n. it also dominates its untuosity, with a sweet background; characteristic attributes of the variety Garnacha Blanca. In the end, it leaves a slight bitterness full of elegance, which adds complexity and persistence to the wine. It results in a perfect balance, always at a very high intensity level.

Origin

Le Naturel is our collection of wines without added sulfites, in which the key is the production completely natural and very careful, with a single ingredient: grape. In this way, we make the wine a re ejo without arti cios of the vineyard from which it comes.

We make it in our winery eco navarra, Aroa Bodegas, where we are pioneers in the D. O. Navarra in the recovery of practices of organic farming and biodynamic. There we produce all our wines with the minimum possible intervention, respecting the fruit of the vineyards, located in the Valley of Yerri, the highest and freshest area of the denomination. We are one of the few wineries in Spain with the certi cado Wineries for Climate Protection granted by the Spanish Wine Federation.

Vineyard

100% Tempranillo, selected from a vineyard located more than 600 m. in Bergasa, Rioja Baja. Soil type: limestone clay. Microclimate: Atlantic.

Winemaking

Preparation without added sulphites.
Manual harvest. Fermentation of the grapes destemmed but not squeezed at controlled temperature in an intelligent tank with the yeasts of the vineyard itself.
Malolactic fermentation in barrels, followed by aging during 19 months in new French and American oak barrels.
Natural stabilization of the wine during aging in barrels without adding clarifying agents.
Unfiltered wine.
Limited production of 2,085 bottles of 75 cl.

Tasting Notes

Intense layer of Cherry Cherry color.
Great explosion of aromas of ripe black fruit, wrapped in mineral notes and cocoa, on a background of eucalyptus and spices, such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
Lively and pleasant tannins, powerful and balanced, with an attractive freshness that invites to drink. Long aftertaste of ripe fruit, great persistence.

Visual: dark intense purple with blackish tones. Intense glycerine and good density
Aromas: clean rustic aromas of Ripe black cherries, plums, violet flowers and thyme
Taste: chewy tannins and mouthwatering acidity, mineral character and intense vibrant fruity character.

Pairing

Serving suggestions: BBQ, rice dishes such as risottos, beef carpaccio with parmesan, beans or pulses and vegetables, pork in mustard, fresh pasta, steak, roasted chicken, mosaka, pizza, curried chicken, Eastern and spicy dishes or just tapas.

Storage

Store this wine in a cool ventilated place where thetemperature is fairly constant. Keep the bottles on their side so that the wine is always in contact with the cork.

Winemaking

Short maceration (5 days) and static, with as little intervention as possible, without bazookas or backups. Manual digging, very light pressing. Malolactic fermentation in 12,000 litre tank. Until bottling the wine remained in storage at a stable temperature to maintain its qualities. No sulfites added.

Tasting Note

Visual: clean and bright, with mastery of raspberry tones.
Nose: fresh with a good intensity, highlighting the notes of blackberries and violets.
Mouth: Attack of fresh fruit, which reveals its origin from vineyards in height. Very pleasant passage, friendly wine, light and very easy to drink.

Low yielding vineyards of altitude 725-780 m. The terroir is a beautiful reddish earth of the sediments with a stony-limestone. Manual harvest and selection of grapes in the field. Grapes chosen for their health and ripeness from our best vineyards express the great personality of our wine.

A new scientific challenge that allows us to approach the production of wine without any additives, as it was 2.000 years ago.

This wine has not received any sulphurous or other additives in its entire production and ageing process.

Vineyard

70 year old singular Vineyard. Organic viticulture. Vineyard planted on slopes exposed south facing 650 meters above sea level with poor, shallow soils with a marked clay-calcareous character.

Winemaking

After its destalking, the grapes are covered in new barrels of 500 liters of French oak Tronçais in which it carries out the alcoholic fermentation and aging. The wine remains in the barrels with the lees of fermentation for 10 months.

Harvest

Manual harvest in boxes of 17 kg. of these vineyards are obtained 2,500 kg per hectare.

Climate

Atlantic influence, in one of the coolest areas of Rioja, with cold winters, temperate summers, and soft and long autumn. The large temperature variation between day and night causes a slow maturation, which is very suitable for polyphenol synthesis and aromatic development.

Tasting notes

Its bluish color of wide intensity stands out. Its fruity nose resembles strawberries and raspberries. It has a very complex structured palate, with silky and elegant tannins. It has a balanced acidity and long persistence in the mouth.
