Vineyard: The vineyards are distributed between the Sierra de Cantabria and the Ebro river, mainly in Rioja Alavesa, settled on clay-calcareous soils of non irrigated lands. Pruning is done in a spur pruning. The average age is 40 years and they are at an average altitude of 480 meters.
Variety: 100% Tempranillo.
Ageing: 12 months in American oak.
Viticulture: Organic Viticulture. Spur pruning system. Small plots.
Harvest: The good weather, which during the whole cycle had favored an excellent vegetative and sanitary state of the vineyard, with absence of plagues or important diseases, also allowed to reach a correct maturational balance in all the vineyards, to which decisively contributed a month September exceptionally favorable for quality.
Winemaking: The exceptional sanitary conditions, contributed to a good development of the fermentations that gave rise to wines well structured, with good color, very healthy and with a good polyphenolic structure.
Analysis: Alcohol Volume : 13,5 %, Total Acidity : 4,8 g./l., pH: 3,95; Volatile Acidity : 0,55 g./l.; Total SO2: 60 mg./l.
