Made by the winemaker Eladio Piñeiro in the heart of Galicia, the Albariño white wine Frore de Carme Reserva Doble Lees is a unique wine that not only stands out for its aromas and flavors (achieved thanks to a special production process), but also for its particular bottling. The design of the bottle is intended to represent an amphora, which conveys to us that it is an artisanal wine and committed to tradition. Also its stopper is very particular, since it is an airtight glass stopper that helps to maintain the properties of the wine for a longer period of time. As for the label, it is thermosensitive, which changes the color if the temperature is correct.

The wine Frore de Carme Reserva Doble Lías is made with grapes of the Albariño variety that are grown in the landscapes of the DO Rías Baixas, in biodynamic vineyards with an average age of 34 years. The soils are sandy loam and are influenced by the Atlantic climate. The grapes are harvested manually, respecting the timing of the fruits.

Once in the cellar, the best bunches are selected to be macerated and fermented on their own yeasts. The aging on its own lees is carried out for 1 year, and after this time, it has another 3 months of aging with the lees of the next vintage. This is why it is called Double Lees. After another 6 months of aging in a tank, the Frore de Carme Reserva Doble Lías rests for a year in a bottle.

Tasting notes of the Frore de Carme Reserva Doble Lías

This wine is presented as an elegant, traditional and fresh white. In the glass it stands out for its brightness and its straw yellow color. On the nose its saline aromas, dried fruits and aromatic flowers are impregnated with intensity, to once in the mouth enter into harmony with a balanced acidity. It has a very long ending.
