What kind of wine is better?

The list of good wines is extensive, but among them we want to highlight the Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo. Produced from pure grapes or blended and divided by DOC and grape varieties. Here are some great wines recommended to find the label that best suits your taste and make your guests happy. If you want a good wine case to give away, ChinChin Rioja Organic Crianza + Reserva is a great choice.

Among the numerous proposals on the market, there is doubt about how to understand or which one to choose. Let's start by making a first selection: a label that is too generic, that only contains words like "Contains sulfites" (all wines contain them, it is only mandatory to specify it if its presence is equal to or greater than 10 mg/kg or 10 mg/l).

Another detail is, that it will be better not to go for too cheap bottles, because making a good wine requires good raw material, a lot of work and time.

You can choose a red wine by winery, type, grape variety and production area, because, for example, if you are fond of biodynamic wines, it will be different from the one that comes from The Sea Wine Club Winery.

And what about Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc or Syrah, why not also try the Berarte Selected Vintage? Or why not discover the exquisite taste of the Grand Mare?

All these are perfect wines in terms of value for money (even the most expensive ones), which you can accompany with one of our wine accessories if you want to make a good gift. Check out the gallery in our online store and you can indulge in the selection.

What kind of wine pairs better with cheese?

Although at first glance the pairing between wine and cheese may seem easy, in practice there are rules depending on the main characteristics of this cheese excellence. We mean pasta type, fat, maturity, succulence, acid tendency, sweet tendency, bitter tendency, aromaticity, intensity and persistence.

The wide spectrum of aromatic intensity and persistence of the cheeses will lead to a choice of wines that, in turn, will be more or less intense in terms of smell and structured in terms of body.

Some examples:

  • Cielito Lindo, made with 100% Moscatel, goes with appetizers and tapas where cheeses predominate.
  • We recommend the wine pack to give away Seven Deadly Sins, the Usoa de Bagordi Rosado wine and the Gula are special to take with soft cheeses with creamy textures such as Brie or fresh Mozzarella.
  • Cuvée Panot Gran Reserva Brut Nature, Santalba Viña Hermosa Gran Reserva and Santalba Amaro are ideal for mature cheeses such as Parmesan, Pecorino, Bleu de Gex, Manchego, Iberian and Castilian cheeses.
  • Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad for firm pasta cheeses such as Dutch, Manchego, cheddar and provolone.
  • To pair with medium-aged cheeses such as Taleggio, pecorino toscano we recommend the Aria Brut Nature wine.
  • Uncooked pressed cheeses such as cheddar, St Nectaire, Tomme de Savoie, Morbier, Cantal, Raclette, go very well with a dry and light white wine.
