The Juan Carlos Sancha wineries, located in La Rioja, produce the Peña el Gato Granito wine, an organic red wine that stands out among its wines for its intense colors and aromas. Made with Grenache grapes from centuries-old vines that are located on slopes at 650 meters altitude, with poor soils and calcareous clay.

What makes this dry red wine of 14.20º alcoholic strength special is that, after the harvest, selection and destemming of the grapes, the broth is fermented in granite tanks, where it rests for 11 months to acquire unique properties.

Tasting notes of Peña el Gato Granito

As we said, this red wine with Qualified Denomination of Origin Rioja stands out in the first instance for the intensity of violet color. As for aromas, we can distinguish fruity touches (especially blackberries) and minerals (which are given by the aging time in granite). On the palate it presents itself as a well-structured wine with very tasty flavors, with a touch of freshness and long persistence on the palate.
