Vineyard: The vineyards are distributed between the Sierra de Cantabria and the Ebro river, mainly in Rioja Alavesa, settled on clay-calcareous soils of rained crops. Pruning is done in a spur pruning. The average age is 40 years and they are at an average altitude of 480 meters.

Harvest: The overall evolution of the vineyard in the whole Denomination, according to the report made by the Technical Services of the Regulatory Council, led to a correct evolution of the most significant parameters for the final quality of the 2011 crop, as it suffered only the incidence of pests and disease and maintained an excellent vegetative and health status until the end of the cycle, despite the difficulties posed by drought in some areas. The exceptional health of the grapes in the harvest was one of the fundamental characteristics of the 2011 harvest, which favored a good development of the fermentations and the obtaining of well structured wines, with good color and very healthy, qualities that allowed to augur wines of high quality.
Vinification: The exceptional sanitary conditions, contributed to a good development of the fermentations that gave rise to wines well structured, with good color, very healthy and with a good polyphenolic structure.
Barrel Aging: 24 months in American oak barrels, 12 months in bottle
