Vineyard & Harvest
Our vineyards are located in the town of Entrena, at an altitude of between 550 and 610 mts.
Tertiary soils with a predominance of clay and many typical glacis stones such as lutites, loams and sandstones.
The grapes were harvested by hand from October 10 in 200kg containers.
Winemaking & Ageing
100% Tempranillo grapes harvested by hand and in boxes with 20 months of aging in French oak barrels.
Alcoholic strength: 14º, pH: 3,7
Color between cherry red and intense ruby that shows no significant signs of evolution.
Expressive, well defined in the Traits of upbringing and with fruity memories. Base of well ripe red fruits (plums, currants) on which is exposed a bouquet of rather classic cut that goes scouring nuances as it takes air in the glass; first emerge notes of good wood (cedar), then many spicy nuances ( cinnamon, cloves, black pepper) and finally memories of tobacco leaf to complete an ensemble that combines a classic character with a very current vitality.
Balanced in the mouth, with body and nerve, tannins quite worked by aging but still with relief and sensations of noble strength. Lively and well combined acidity, integrated Woods, tasty, expressive and suggestive in the aromas of the mouth, where are even more evident memories of ripe grapes, long persistence and broad finish that invites a new drink.
An exemplary Reserve, well developed and with vitality. Expression of fruit, classic bouquet riojano (but without animal notes or traces of oxidation) and with nerve.
