Grapes from a single vineyard, La Dehesa. A land of boulders planted in 1943 by the grandfather of Juan Bautista, located in the village of Murillo de Río Leza. The grapes are picked by hand in small 12 kilo cases. A blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes.
This wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in a stainless steel tank and, subsequently, malolactic fermentation in a French Allier oak, 12,000 litre vat. Being such an old vineyard the yields per vine are quite low, producing fewer clusters. Furthermore, it is the vineyard that decides how much it is going to produce each year. This is also a help for us, as the grapes are more concentrated and of better quality.
So, depending on the wine’s requirements, we age it for 15-18 months in brand new, top range French Icône barrels.
Grado alcohólico: 14,50%
Azúcar residual: 1 g/l
Acidez Total: 5.10 g/l
Deep, intense colour. Aromas of stewed fruit and fine, clean, elegant wood. Mineral, round, velvety, balanced and pleasant in the mouth. Full-bodied and structured. Long, persistent finish.
Beautiful Things by Paco García is that “pretty thing” we all want to achieve, that comfy moment, that taste which reminds us of something pleasant: pleasant company or a beautiful time of our lives.
Drink it when you have struggled to achieve it, when you are going to celebrate, when you want to make love, when you are bursting with contentedness! And always drink in good company, night or day. Enjoy it because you’ve earned it.
Romantic, elegant, unique. Structure, power and harmony. What is this wine? The wild horse that gallops free along a deserted beach. A rainy afternoon in front of the fireplace. Running in the rain until you are ecstatic. That strength, that intensity, that life is Beautiful Things by Paco García.
Bodegas Paco García is a new project created in October 2011 at the Juan Bautista García family winery which, together with Ana Fernández Bengoa, marked a turning point in the D.O.Ca. Rioja. A winery to keep in mind…
