Platé has made one of the most original wines that we have in our online wine store of ChinChin Wine Trading. It is a wine that has not been made with grapes, but with bananas. And not just any bananas, bananas from the Canary Islands IGP. Once you taste the Semi-dry White Banana Wine Platé you will go bananas.

This fruit wine is born from the alcoholic fermentation of Canary Island bananas, following the same process as in the production of grape wines. Semi-dry Banana Wine is perfect to accompany fish and seafood dishes, as well as white meats and other light dishes such as salads or rice dishes.

Tasting Notes of the Banana Semi-dry White Wine

This banana wine is very similar to any semi-dry white wine, with pale but at the same time bright yellow tones. Despite of what may be believed, there is no predominance of banana on the nose, but we can distinguish aromas of different tropical fruits such as passion fruit, pineapple, peach and guava. In the mouth there is a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, which is given by those tropical fruits we were talking about. In each sip we have banana notes that are not cloying at all, but are perfectly integrated into this light and fresh wine.
