Winemaking Of Vega Vella Tinto Crianza

The Vega Vella Red Crianza wine, from Bodegas Cornelio Dinastía, is made with Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache.

The vineyards are trellised, on silt-clay soils, with alluvial boulders and soils of gypsum and marl. These vineyards are located in an organic land of low productivity, but with high quality grapes, with excellent sun exposure and a continental Mediterranean climate. Located in the Eastern Rioja, these vineyards are treated with natural products at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level and an average annual rainfall of 400 mm.

The elaboration of Vega Vella Tinto Crianza is carried out in a traditional way, respecting the characteristics of each variety to the maximum. It is aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by an adequate aging of several months in the bottle. The result is a wine with the essence of Tempranillo and hints of Graciano and Garnacha, made by minimizing the presence of sulfur dioxide, resulting in a natural wine that respects the environment.

The alcoholic strength of Vega Vella Tinto Crianza is 14.8% Vol.

Tasting Notes Of Vega Vella Tinto Crianza

Vega Vella Tinto Crianza presents a high layer of cherry red color, clean and bright. The nose highlights its great intensity of ripe black fruits, aromas of compote, leather, light toasted and spicy aromas. In the mouth, it shows abundant presence of black fruit and spices that give way to dark chocolate and toasted, which makes it a complex wine due to the contribution of each variety.
