Vines & Harvest

Our vineyards are located in the village of Entrena, at an altitude between 550 and 610 mts (1800/2000 ft).

Oriented mainly to the Northeast.

Tertiary Soils with bedrock of red marlstone and red clay with a thin soil of the quaternary period of glacis stones, lutites, marls, sandstones, gravels…

The grapes were hand-harvested from October 1st to 3rd, in 200 kg containers.

Wineyard plots:

Fuentepicas: 38 years old, 2200 kg

Cerrillo: 46 years old, 4800 kg

Costanillas: 50 yeards old, 1500 kg

Babiero: 62 yeards old, 2500 kg

Velilla: 63 yeards old, 1800 kg


We left the grapes in an industrial fridge for 24h at 4°C.

We sort and destem 100% of the grapes, followed by 24/48h maceration with skin at 7ºC, to be pressed softly.


Fermented in a French oak foudre of 75HL and 5 new French oak barrels, at 14-16° for 15 days. The wine remained there another 10 months, with weekly battonages together with its finest lees. There was no malolactic fermentation.

Alcohol Content


Tasting notes 

Bright yellow color. Complex and changeable nose that gains in intensity. Firstly it shows certain herbaceous and fennel hints, notes of green apple and pear. Then it gets more serious and consistently mineral, what makes of this wine, something really special. Light notes of yeast due to the ageing on lees.

Voluminous in mouth with delicate texture. There is an important ripeness that is balanced with the freshness of the fruit and a nice and soft bitterness that shows a generous length and consistency to this wine.
