Viña Ijalba Graciano

Graciano is not a very productive grape variety, but it is essential to produce bright red, acidic and very aromatic wines. Thanks to the work of recovering native varieties of La Rioja, Viña Ijalba produced its first 100% Graciano monovarental in 1994, when it was considered a minority variety. Viña Ijalba Graciano is a garnet red wine with aromas of moist grass, cherry liqueur, licorice. That’s why it pairs perfectly with oxtail, red meat, lamb chops, blue cheese and tuna.

The grapes of Viña Ijalba Graciano are harvested manually in boxes of 20 kilos. Under the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin, this organic red wine is fermented in oak vats for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation is also carried out in vats. The wine continues in French and American oak for 10 months. It has 14.12% alcohol; 55 mg/l total sulfurous; 75 index of total polyphenols.
