The brand 9 Olivos presents its Extra Virgin Olive Oil made with the best olive varieties grown in the mountain range of Jaén (Andalusia). It is committed to organic agriculture that transforms into quality olive oils.
The Extra Virgin Olive Oil by 9 Olivos is a product that has both national and international presence, bringing closer the tradition and history of the olive trees of Jaén (Andalusia) to the whole world.
Its history dates back to 1915, when the first olive trees of the Picual variety were planted, the most typical of the province of Jaén and with which one of the best known types of olive oil in Spain is made. The hectares occupied by this type of olive tree, especially in the Andalusian provinces, exceed 700.000.
In addition to the Picual, in the crops of 9 Olivos, the Arbequina variety is also harvested, which is characterized by its aroma, taste and lightness. This variety is original From Palestine, and was introduced in the areas of Spain in the seventeenth century.
The 9 Olivos groves are located in a privileged location in the province of Jaén, between the natural parks of Sierra de Cazorla and Sierra Mágina. These areas are characterized by the cultivation of high quality olives with which some of the best olive oils in Spain are made.
9 Olivos is committed to organic and sustainable agriculture that respects the crops and the product, thus obtaining a quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Each of the processes of the production of the oil, from the harvest of the olives to the final packaging, are carried out in a traditional way.
The oils of the 9 Olivos are divided into three different lines: Life Organic Oils, High Hills Oils and Green Oils.
The Life Organic line consists of 100% organic oils, in the production of which no chemical has been used, both from the Picual and the Arbequina varieties.
High Hills oils, made with the Picual variety, receive this name because they have been harvested in the hills of jienenses at more than 800 meters high, which gives them unique taste and aroma properties.
Finally, among the Green oils are the traditional oils of the varieties Picual, Arbequina and royal. The latter is authentic from the Sierra de Cazorla and is characterized by its balance of flavor between softness and intensity.
