Bodegas Bagordi

The Bagordi family winery was founded in 1996, although the history of the family in the world of wine goes back many years, until 1723, when the wine tradition that today characterizes the Carcars began.

Legacy of 14 generations has allowed today to know perfectly all the techniques and forms that work best both in the field and in the facilities of the winery. The sum of these artisanal knowledge with new advances is what makes the wine made in Bodegas Bagordi stand out for its quality.

Care and respect for the farmland is one of the principles of the Carcar family. Its 58 hectares of own vineyards are located on the banks of the Ebro and Ega rivers, where they enjoy a continental Mediterranean climate and a clayey, sandy and gravel terroir. The work in the vineyard is based on organic and sustainable agriculture, so only organic fertilizers are used and no chemicals of any kind are used.

The harvest and selection of grapes are carried out manually and trying to intervene as little as possible, so as not to damage the fruit and that it retains all the properties of the vineyard.

All this, together with the artisan production process of the winery, results in the creation of organic wines with Rioja Designation of Origin that represent the character of the terroir to the maximum.

The grape varieties that are grown on the plots of Bagordi are Tempranillo, Viura, Garnacha (Grenache) and Graciano.

Bagordi's organic wine collection

Bodegas Bagordi has four different brands among which it classifies its wines. These are Bagordi, Usoa De Bagordi, Oiasso and Navardia, all of them with D. O. Ca. Rioja.

Bagordi and Usoa De Bagordi are the main collections of the winery, among which are 3 white wines, 2 rosé (rose, rosado) and 6 red wines from the best grapes selected from their vineyards.

Oiasso wines are characterized by being monovarietal wines, made only with one type of grape. In addition, also belongs to this brand the extra virgin olive oil 100% Arbequina.
