Biurko Gorri is a family winery located in the Navarre town of Bargota, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. Since 1992 the winery has dedicated to the production of Rioja wines following organic and sustainable cultivation methods.

Biurko Gorri winery is based on the wine tradition of the Bargota area (a town located in Navarra) for the production of their organic wines with Rioja Designation of Origin. The activity of the winery began in 1992, but it was not until 1998 when it was obtained the seal that certifies its wines as organic.
Biurko Gorri has 40 hectares of its own vineyards spread over various plots of Bargota, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria. This location is characterized by its clay-calcareous soils and its continental climate, conditions that, together with the trellis plantation, favor the excellent quality of the grapes.
The care of the vineyards is entirely ecological, using only organic fertilizers and without the use of artificial fertilizers or other chemicals. Thanks to this it is possible to maintain the properties that the terroir and the climate give to the grapes.
This respect for the raw material is also demonstrated in the premises of the winery. The artisanal working methods carried out for more than 20 years are combined with the latest technological advances, in order to obtain wines with the best possible quality.
In addition to betting on organic agriculture and production, Biurko Gorri wineries also want to produce healthy wines for the people who drink them. That is why Biurko Gorri collaborate with different projects and research that look for the best natural substitutes for sulfurous.
To make its wine collection, Bodegas Biurko Gorri has based itself on the richness of its vineyards, thus elaborating seven wines that faithfully represent this terroir of the Rioja Denomination of Origin.
Biurko Gorri winery currently has seven wines, six of them red wines of various crianzas and varieties (Biurko Graciano, Pagos De Arbanta, Biurko Joven, Biurko Crianza, Biurko Reserva and Biurko Gran Reserva) and a single varietal white Sauvignon Blanc.
In general terms, all their organic wines stand out for their blend of tradition and modernity, which makes them have a perfect balance between freshness and acidity.
