Xión Cuveé

An authentic, artisanal, Atlantic and autochthonous red

One could say that the Xión Cuvée Tinto hides all the Rías Baixas inside. This broth supposes an explosion of aromas and fruity flavors provided by Pedral, Sousón and Espadeiro grapes, a mixture of native grapes grown in a vineyard at 100m altitude with sandy-clay soils and a yield of 4,000 kg / ha, with which 4.000 bottles of this broth are obtained.

This red wine with D.O. Rías Baixas is a fresh and light wine perfect to taste together with appetizers.

Elaboration of the Xión Cuvée Tinto

To produce this Galician red wine, a manual harvest is carried out in perforated boxes of 15kg, after which it is passed to a manual selection of the best bunches at the entrance of the grapes to the winery. The spontaneous alcoholic fermentation is carried out in 500-liter open barrels, after which a maceration takes place for 15 days with two bazookas a day. After the spontaneous malolactic fermentation of the broth, it is allowed to rest for 12 months in French oak fudre.

Tasting notes of the Xión Tinto

The first contact with this wine surprises the eye thanks to its intense and bright purple color. Its aromas of red fruits, spices, flowers and mineral touches give unique sensations to the smell. Its entry into the mouth is round and with fine tannins, with powerful freshness and sweet tooth that are perfectly balanced with an acidity towards the end.
